MEDITATOR
I experience the world both as a scientist and a meditator
At first sight, you may not see the bridge between science and meditation. The thing is, that as a neurogeneticist, I see science as the bridge to understanding the importance of meditation. For me, meditation is a break in scientific research. It is an important phase of not thinking, after which I can look at problems from different perspectives. I have a better understanding of the scientific context, and my mind is clear and open to new ideas. In my life it has proven very valuable to look at the world through different lenses. Give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised by the result.
I study sleep and improve it with meditation
Quality sleep is very important for our lives. I am fascinated by its research, because it is interwoven with many questions still unanswered. Do not take sleep for granted. Many people have trouble falling asleep. They don't know how to get ready to sleep, or what to do to make their sleep actually good quality and beneficial. What really helps, is meditation. But don't confuse meditation with trance. Think of meditation as a thought-free state. It is a mental silence that helps you improve sleep quality and achieve healthy productivity while awake.
Neurogeneticist: Sometimes it's good to not think, too many stimuli harm brain cells
“To meditate, we don't need to know how it works, and we don't even need to know all the effects of meditation. I would advise people looking for safe forms of meditation to be wary of people who charge huge sums of money for meditation. This is one of the most reliable ways to recognize charlatans. Although meditation is not a religion, it does affect spiritual growth in addition to its physical effects. And one shouldn't have to pay for that."

Forbes Project: Nevyhorení (Not Burned Out)
Mental health is often not given real value. And when it is, we usually just write about it and do not accept this fact as important. Healthy sleep and meditation help the burned out to get back to an active life, and serve as a prevention from burnout itself. More in an interesting podcast and interview with Zuzana Matuščáková.

Turn off your head once in a while. Mediation is a great off switch
Every day, information and responsibilities pour in on us in powerful waves. There is no harm in switching off from time to time, and it is good for your physical and mental health. Meditation is a wonderful off switch. You don't need to sit or even have your legs crossed. You can take a walk in nature or listen to the silence. Getting away from reality and being with yourself takes practice, but the result that comes after is like a form of mental immunity. You will be better in handling stress, solving problems, you’ll be open to facts and critical thinking. You will learn how to defend yourself against manipulation from the media, your loved ones or superiors. For all these forms of power you need to have a clear mind. And in this, meditation will be of great help to you.
I will teach you meditation
Whether you’re a teacher, actor, manager or baker, you can learn to meditate. I can be your personal meditation mentor and help you get to know yourself. Don't mistake me for a psychologist, psychiatrist, or a doctor. I won't do any experiments or research on you (after all, as I’ve mentioned before, I only study and experiment on worms). I will help you jumpstart your need to meditate and show you ways to do it properly. I mostly mentor meditation one-on-one, but I have experience with group meditation and online meditation mentoring as well. Language is not a barrier either, I am fluent in Slovak, German and English.
You can find a list of my performances in the Tomáš the guest section as well.
