Good things need to be shared
I have been thinking about how to present my media appearances so that you don't get the feeling that I am bragging. I'm of the opinion that when you show publicly what you're good at, you're not arrogant or self-centered. Good quality, proven and practical information is still in short supply in our society. That's why I am happy to accept invitations to interesting workshops or meetings, to talk to talkshow hosts who want to give their content a certain message, an added value. Now you know my opinion. I hope that the following overview of my media appearances will serve you as a checklist of what you can read and listen to. Thank you in advance for sharing.
TELEVISION
Talkshow: Trochu inak s Adelou Vinczeovou
To be honest, I had slight stage fright before my first TV appearance. But Adela is an amazing host. She can make the guests feel comfortable and lighten up the debate on serious matters. Our conversation resembled a living organism. We talked about my sleep research in Vienna, my sleep in general, meditation, and we gave each other some good advice on how to sleep properly. Thanks to the friendly atmosphere that prevailed in the Slovak National Theatre, I think back on this performance quite often and fondly. Other guests in the episode were Zuzana Tkáčová, a recent recipient of the Slovak Teacher award, and Peter Valentovič, the chief conductor of the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra.

RADIO
Adela & Sajfa, Fun rádio
We laughed a lot with Adela and Sajfa in Fun rádio while also having an interesting debate. I especially entertained them by explaining the radio’s motto “To get up is not as important as to wake up” from a neurogenetic point of view. We discussed the topic of burnout, early birds, night owls and sleeping without pyjamas, which I am a fan of.

PODCASTS
Leadership Podcast with Andrea Vadkerti
I recommend the inspirational leadership podcast by Andrea Vadkerti to everyone. In it, Andrea interviews interesting, purposeful and successful people whose insights can move you forward. We talked for an hour about why quality sleep is necessary for a healthy, functioning mind, how our brain recharges, what kills it, and when do we find out we're close to an unbearable stress threshold. Besides talking, we also exercised and enjoyed some art. Andrea is an enthusiast of neurobiology, which she studied in Singapore. She asks apt questions. She has prepared well for the interview, so I hope you will find the information in it useful.

ARTICLES AND INTERVIEWS
Interview with Karol Sudor for Denník N
A shorter version of the interview for Denník N was also published in NOTA BENE – a magazine that helps homeless people make a living by selling quality periodicals that are actually worth reading. The theme of the issue was memory, and so we devoted the interview to talking about how human memory works. I also talked about why I recommend mental silence for attention span overload. The interview was excellently led by the experienced journalist Karol Sudor, who has won several journalism awards for best interview.

LECTURES, WORKSHOPS, FESTIVALS
TEDx Košice: From backyard to Mars
If you want to get inspirational ideas, you should attend TEDx talks. It's a globally popular conference format with something for everyone. The Košice TEDx was held online due to the pandemic situation at the time. My talk was about sleep, meditation and overcoming difficult life situations. I focused on why we actually need sleep, why it’s helpful and why I fall asleep excited and wake up impatient.
